Includes his extensive writings on philosophy, history, and aesthetics, along with his translations, reviews, essays, and miscellaneous works. Text is in Italian. 481 pp. 8vo. Issued in paperbound form, but this copy nicely re-bound in hardcover with patterned green paper and leather spine label. Original wraps bound in. Author signature in purple ink on the copyright page, but it appears to be a facsimile or stamp. Good condition. Modest external wear. Text pages browned, but not brittle. Sound, tight binding. A solid, attractive copy of this useful bibliography.

[NY: Hearst] 1930. Advance printing in book form of a June 1930 Cosmopolitan magazine article. Snowden's first-person account of how he "limped his way to power." Snowden (1864-1937), socialist politician and propagandist, was Chancellor of the Exchequer in the first two Labour Party governments of Great Britain. Crippled by spinal disease at a young age, Snowden's tenure coincided with the worst years of the Depression in the UK and other countries. 30 pages, divided between Snowden's story, and advertising/promotional material. Small hardcover, about 4.5 by 6.25 inches. Purplish paper-covered boards, silver foil endpages. Near Fine, with some very minor rubbing. A nice copy of a scarce item.

A big, beautiful book containing 80 color plates of interior views of German castles and private houses. Six-page introduction by the German art historian Adolf Feulner (1884-1945.) The remainder of the book consists of views of "interiors such as were found in former centuries in the castles, manor-houses and mansions of noblemen and patricians." The plates were reproduced from original paintings and printed one side only on thick, glossy paper. Each plate is captioned with the location, artist name, and brief explanatory notes. Well-illustrated with numerous maps, charts and photographs. Thick sturdy hardcover. About 9.5 by 7.25 inches. Handsomely bound in one-quarter cream leather (spine and corners) over blue paper-covered boards. Gilt-lettered blue leather spine label. Minor wear to the extremities, but VG otherwise. Crisp, clean and securely bound.

London: Spring Books, (1970.) First published in 1963. Printed in East Germany. A study of "the excessive sexuality of the Middle Ages," an era marked by "unrestrained wildness and the practice of perversions unknown in earlier times." A frank work that argues the restrictive teachings of the Christian church led to a proliferation of illicit sex, orgies and other forbidden pleasures, and even witchcraft and the Black Mass. 320 pp., with select bibliography and index. 8vo clothbound hardcover in dust jacket. VG/VG. Some edge wear and rubbing to the jacket, but no tears or significant flaws. No price on the jacket, probably because this book was intended to be sold in various countries. "Printed in East Germany" ink stamps on the title page and the last page. Sound, tight binding. Jacket is protected by a clear archival cover.
