Two volume red cloth set. Vol 1: The History, 521 pages. Vol II: The Evidence, 600 pages. Extensively illustrated in black and white with paintings and photographs. Includes facsimiles of signatures and family registers. Previous owner's bookplate inside front cover of both volumes. Fading to the spines of the cloth as well as to the tops of the boards. The spines also shows some water speckling which does not effect the front or back cover or text.
