Nelson Rare Books buys and sells rare, antiquarian, and out-of-print books, manuscripts and ephemera online from our offices in Haddonfield, New Jersey (suburb of Philadelphia, near Cherry Hill, Marlton, and Moorestown). Our books span the centuries, with volumes from the 1600s to the 2000s. We offer a general stock but focus on 19th and early 20th century English and American literature, private press, and signed, inscribed, and association copies. Each of our books have been carefully researched and cataloged and we are a proud member of the Independent Online Booksellers Association (IOBA) and abide by their rigorous ethics and description guidelines.

Terms of sale for Nelson Rare Books, IOBA

Nelson Rare Books is a New Jersey-registered trade/fictitious name for DUGN, LLC, a New Jersey Limited Liability Company, with a mailing address at P.O. Box 571, Haddonfield, New Jersey 08033 (DUGN, LLC and Nelson Rare Books collectively referred to herein as "We", "Us", or "Our").

Books may be returned to Us for any reason within ten (10) days of receipt, through prior arrangement, and in original condition (if in unread condition must be returned unread) and is packed and shipped appropriately with insurance at full sale price. Unless books are not as described or were damaged in transit, all return postage/shipping to be paid by Buyer.

Until further notice, We are not shipping signed or autographed materials to the State of California. All orders for the same will be cancelled.

New Jersey residents must add 7% sales tax and applicable New Jersey municipal or county taxes. All items are subject to prior sale. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse an order or sale for any reason. Buying through our website or any online marketplace shall not constitute a sale or acceptance of an offer to purchase from Us; acceptance of an offer to purchase shall only be made when the good has been shipped by Us. We will not drop ship and/or ship to a party or address other than Buyer's billing addresswithout prior approval.

All purchases from and transactions with Us are governed by the internal substantive laws of the State of New Jersey, U.S.A., excluding (i) New Jersey's conflicts of laws principles; (ii) the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods; (iii) the 1974 Convention on the Limitation Period in the International Sale of Goods; and (iv) the Protocol amending the 1974 Convention, done at Vienna April 11, 1980. Buyer agrees to the jurisdiction and venue of the state courts sitting in Burlington County, New Jersey, for any and all disputes with and claims against Us.

Buyer agrees that, on behalf of itself and its agents, contractors, principals, heirs, beneficiaries, and assignees, that the total liability of Us for any, injury, damages, claims, losses, costs, expenses, judgments, refund, or other liabilities, including without limitation, reasonable attorney's fees, whether arising from breach of contract, breach of warranty, in tort, or otherwise, arising out of or relating to the goods, or the purchase or attempted purchase of goods from Us shall be limited to and capped at the purchase price of the good. We shall not be liable for any delays caused by circumstances beyond Our control, including, but not limited to, acts of god, fire, flood, war, governmental priorities, rules, or action, accident, labor trouble or shortage, and/or inability to obtain material, equipment or transportation.
