Oasis Fine Used Books on Main Street in Gloucester, Virginia brings a selection of antiquarian books from many genres. Kip Mortenson, proprietor, is a second generation book seller with a collection of mostly hardcover, many first editions, in Maritime, Gardening, Western Americana, Virginiana, Revolutionary & Civil Wars, Illustrated books, New Age, and an assortment of Rare & Antiquarian books. WE SHIP TO ADDRESSES WITHIN THE UNITED STATES. Orders received that require shipment to Countries outside the U.S.A. are subject to our rates listed on this site. All sales are subject to availability. We accept payment by Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards. Personal or Business checks in US dollars drawn on a US bank accepted made payable to "Oasis Books." Please call ahead if you would like to use this payment option. Check must clear prior to order processing. Books shipped to Virginia addresses will be charged a 5.3% Virginia State Sales Tax. Large Books may require extra postage. Books priced above $75.00 may require extra payment for mailing & insurance post order. Please contact the bookseller prior to book purchase if you have any questions regarding the book(s) of interest. We make every effort to respond promptly to inquiries (please note that we are not in the shop Sunday, Monday, or Tuesdays, so we will respond to any inquiries on Wednesday). Please note that all shipping costs are based on an average sized book. If you order a multi-volume title or oversize book there will be additional shipping charges. In this event you will be contacted before the order is processed. Orders in the USA are normally shipped using the US Post office via Media Mail which includes a tracking number.
