Piece inspired by the triplet-paradiddle that Kruppa played for the writer in the dressing room of the Metropolitan Theatre, Boston May 22, 1937. Book advertised on verso is "Stick Control" still in print today and a Percussive Arts Society Hall of Fame title and was originally published for $1.50 by The George B. Stone & Son, Inc. [Drum makers since 1890 and Dealers in High Grade Musical Instruments] on 61 Hanover Street in Boston, MA. After George Burt Stone's death at age 60 in 1917 only son, George Lawrence Stone ran the company until the late 1930's (factory was located on 47 Hanover Street). In a letter (sold at auction) from Krupa to Stone (on Stone Stationery) dated 9/3/1938 authorized Stone to use his photos in an upcoming article to a national magazine. Krupa was one of Stone's students, as was Lionel Hampton, Joe Morello and Vic Firth (BSO percussionist)..
