No date. Ca. early 1900s.. Pair of mezzotints, each 10 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches on sheet 11 3/4 x 7 1/4 inches, now matted to 12 x 16 inches. Light toning and soiling, wear to edges (now covered by mat), tiny (1/8 inch) abrasion to lower right corner of image of boy, some faint foxing visible in the girl's dress. Overall in very good display condition. This pair of mezzotints features a youthful blond boy in blue and a young girl in white dress and bonnet with blue ribbon and shoes - both set against lush and romantic landscapes. Each signed in pencil at lower right (matted over) "F. G. Stevenson". The rich mezzotint technique is used to great effect, in the contrast from dark background to light (figure and sky effects). .

Previously framed resulting in very light browned vertical band (from previous wood backing), very light soiling and foxing to image side; verso: browning, framer's notation in pencil, adhesive remains along edges. Non of the faults detract from the appeal of the image which is bright and clean. Strong impression of this charming Victorian image of a girl saying grace before the meal, her dog also at the table with a doll in place of a plate... .

A stunning image of two girls in pink dresses and hats petting a dog (Irish Wolfhound?), an exceptional Victorian image of children by P.R. Morris, an associate of the Royal Academy in London. .

Folder lightly worn and soiled with previous owner's name in pencil; the horizontal fold is reinforced with cloth tape on verso, some mended edge tears and separations, 3/4 inch chip to left lower edge, some soft creases; overall clean and bright. A charming adventure game for children illustrated by Cecilia Lindberg. Many of the numbered squares feature vignette illustrations of activities such as skiing, fishing, being pulled in a sleigh, etc. Text in Swedish. .

Small stain in lower right margin (not affecting image), several edge tears with one just entering image area, light toning to 1 1/2 inch panel at right side. Otherwise a clean, bright image. A gorgeous image of a young boy sailing his boats under the approving eye of his mother and sister, by the prolific and very popular Victorian painter Fred Morgan, whose paintings of children and animals are particularly charming. A. & F. Pears soap company pioneered the use of "fine art" reproductions in advertising their product, thus equating it in the public mind with the finer things of life. The most famous example of this is their chromolithographic reproduction of Sir John Everett Millais' "Bubbles." The Pears Annual was published from 1891 to the 1920s accompanied by 2 or more of these beautifully printed chromolithographic reproductions of popular paintings of the day. .

This richly colored antique print, a supplement to the 1889-90 Christmas issue of the French magazine L'Illustration, features a young girl in white Victorian dress holding a bouquet of flowers and a letter wrapped in ribbon. "L'Illustration. Supplement au Numero de Noel 1889-90" printed above image. Initials "CTG" at lower right. A gorgeous image that would be stunning framed. .

No date. Ca. 1870.. Color cover (two-color lithograph with additional handcolor) with one sheet of music. Binding holes at one edge as removed from a bound volume, music is apparently incomplete. 1 inch tear at right edge, 1/2 inch tear at left edge, neither entering image, bookseller's stamp at lower right corner, publisher's embossed stamp at upper left corner. Overall clean and bright. A charming image of children playing on a see-saw which has been improvised from a tree trunk and a plank; in the distance children run out of a school house to join the fun. The image was lithographed by Stannard & Son, whose work included panoramic bird's eye views. .
