The long awaited History of Potomac Yard book authored by Society member and former RF&P Potomac Yard employee James E. Foley, titled "Potomac Yard: The Gateway Between the North and the South". Foley's book covers the time period from about 1880 to 1920 and describes how the builders overcame the struggles related to the planning and construction of Potomac Yard during that period. The book describes in detail the operation of the yard from its startup through its first 15 years. Hardcover with over 750 pages of text, maps and pictures.
