Moderate wear to the binding. There is a scuff mark on the front cover at the top, running over part of the title. A sound copy with clean text. Illustrated with photos. The Brindles were Moravians from Alsace-Lorraine France and moved to America in 1738. They landed in Pennsylvania but moved to North Carolina shortly thereafter. In North Carolina they settled in Rowan and Surry Counties in the 18th century and spread to Lincoln County in the 19th century.
