Mikhail Naimy (1889-1988) was a Lebanese author who was one of the most important spiritual writers from the Middle East in the 20th century. He studied at a Russian school in Nazareth and at a theological seminary in Ukraine. He then moved to the United States and studied at the University of Washington, and then moved to New York. There, he helped co-found the New York Pen League with Kahlil Gibran and several others. He died of pneumonia in Beiruit in 1988. This is his most important work.
