The Rubaiyat of Omar Khayyam (ca.1950 Edition)

By (Omar Khayyam) Translated by Edward Fitzgerald

The classical epic poem by Persian astrologer, Omar Khayyam, translated in prose by Edward Fitzgerald and graced with the stunning, sometimes shocking, always delightful exquisite illustrations of Edmund J. Sullivan. Yeah, I'm impressed. The copy is in GOOD, condition, with mild wear and fading "firm" cover boards. Inside there are but a few blemishes aside from expected toning of the inside pages. On the inside front paper, there is the remnant of some adhesive identification label that has been partially peeled off. A truly enjoyable book.

The Most Holy Trinosophia of the Comte de St.-Germain

By Alessandro Cagliostro. the Comte de St.-Germain (Manly Hall)

This is an original 1933 edition of: "A Parallel French and English Text of The Most Holy Trinosophia of the Comte de St.-Germain with Introductory Material and Commentary by Manly Hall. Illustrated with the figures from the original manuscript in the Bibliothèque de Troyes (France)" It was published in Los Angeles, CA U.S.A. in 1933. This copy shows obvious signs of wear on the cover. The stitching is intact but the covering over the backbone is showing a few holes. The edges and corners of the hardcover are rounded from wear. There are dozens of notations throughout the book, made by the original owner. They are actually quite beautiful and add a lot of character to this beautiful book.
