April 18, 1974. --VINTAGE, ORIGINAL FBI FLYER #474-- issued for (3) Symbionese Liberation Army members: Patricia Soltysik, Camilla Hall and Nancy Ling Perry, charged with armed bank robbery and murder. Soltysik, Hall and Perry would be killed in a California shootout, May 17,1974, just one month after the FBI poster's release. In March 1973, career criminal and prison escapee Donald DeFreeze became the leader of the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), an American revolutionary group that operated in California in the mid-1970s. DeFreeze had been radicalized in prison and embraced a loose Marxism as a code for revolution. After his escape, DeFreeze hid out in Patricia Soltysik's house, who was unknown to the police at the time, and they became lovers. The SLA gained national notoriety in Nov. 1974, after DeFreeze ordered Patricia Soltysik and Emily Harris to murder Marcus Foster, the black Superintendent of Schools in Oakland, CA.
