Soltysik, Hall and Perry would be killed in a California shootout, May 17,1974, just one month after the FBI poster's release. In March 1973, career criminal and prison escapee Donald DeFreeze became the leader of the Symbionese Liberation Army (SLA), an American revolutionary group that operated in California in the mid-1970s.
