Hardcover. royal 8; lxxxv/381 pages pages; L'episcopato e la rivoluzione in Italia ossia atti collettivi dei vescovi italiani preceduti da quelli del sommo pontefice Pio IX contro le leggi e I fatti della rivoluzione offerti a San Pietro in occasione del diciottesimo centenario del glorioso suo martirio. Volume primo. Cloth-backed marbled paper-covered boards, with paper labels to spine worn. Book shows mild external wear, with light soiling and minor loss to labels & outside corners of boards. Binding is firm. Front flyleaf appears to have been excised. Pages show scattered light foxing, otherwise no markings. Exposes the thinking of the Catholic Church on the French Revolution and the negative consequences that Italy would suffer if it were to follow suit. Width: 6.75" Height: 9.75". Italian language. .
