Description:
The Bobbs-Merrill Company, Indianapolis, IN, 1931. Edition Unstated. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Very Good Condition. Book Signed by Author. Warmly inscribed copy of Casey’s “Jazz Age” crime novel which was drawn from a combination of his reports on the mobs in Chicago for the Chicago Daily News and his travels in the Orient. He has signed on the front free end paper: “For / [name] / Who for some odd reason wanted an autograph – / In astonishment, / Bob Casey / Chicago ? Nov. 15 -31.” Likely to be a first edition, but Bobbs-Merrill was not consistent in how it designated a first edition at the time, so I have not flagged it as such Size: Small Octavo (7 1/2-8"). 304 pages. Bound in orange cloth over boards with an… Read More
