San Francisco: Co. & Sons, 1971. Dan O'Neill's popular comic strip "Odd Bodkins" ran in the San Francisco Chronicle from 1964-1970; but he is also known for his work with the "Air Pirates" underground comix collective that was pursued legally by the Disney corporation for supposed copyright infringements. This is a Very Good copy of the second in this series. There is a fictitious publication date on the cover of "December 1947," but 1971is more correct. The cover lists "Co. & Sons" as the publisher, and on the rear cover as "Northern California Power Failure," but probably Comcs and Comix in Berkeley. Clean tex consists of fifty pages of black and white drawings. Light edgewear, tiny chip to one corner, and a crease across the front cover; there is a previous-owner name on the first page. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. First Edition.. Soft Cover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.

Description:
New York: Frederick A. Stokes Company, 1902. Here is an interesting artifact of American racial "humor," written mainly in an African-American dialect. Frederick Henri Seymour (1850-1913) wrote several books under the pseudonym of an Irish Lord. This is a Very Good (Minus) copy of the First Edition. Rare; Worldcat shows only one holding. Denim cloth binding with black lettering on the spine and front cover. Clean text; basically unpaginated (or paginated randomly), the last page number is 457, which would be about 200 pages more than are here. Frontis cartoon of Uncle Eph; all pages with decorations; text and decorations are in brown ink. The book is in fragile condition. Covers are rubbed at the margins. Both gutters have cracked, and some pages seem loose, or about to become so. For this reason, Quercus must offer this as a Binding Copy, in need of repair or restoration. In an archival plastic protector.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (Minus)/No Jacket. 4to - over 9¾" -…
