Chicago: The Yellow Press, 1976. Minor rubbing to jacket, generally a fine copy. 8vo. 132 pages. Original blue cloth; printed dust jacket. First edition. Signed by Ted Berrigan and dated July 1980 on the front free endpaper. He has also made a correction (crossed out a word) in the final poem of his, "Boulder," on p. 9. The included poets comprise Berrigan, Walter Bradford, Gwendolyn Brooks, Paul Carroll, Maxine Chernoff, Richard Friedman, Paul Hoover, Angela Jackson, Henry Kanabus, Peter Kostakis, Art Lange, Haki R. Original blue cloth, untrimmed; dust jacket. First edition. This book is dedicated to Stephen Vincent Benét and his wife Rosemary (the rear cover of the dust jacket is devoted to a blurb by Benét about the book). This is the dedication copy, inscribed by Engle on the front flyleaf: "For Steve and Rosemary, with great affection, Paul, Oxford, Trinity, 1934." At the time Engle was a Rhodes Scholar at Oxford. He later helped found the celebrated Iowa Writers Workshop, and published a large body of work, much of it focusing on his native Iowa. (BA).
