Description:
Philadelphia: Schooly-D Records, 1985. First pressing Vintage 12-inch single released by Schoolly-D Records in 1985, tagged by "Mix Master Vic C." Discogs Master Release ID m153881. The vinyl's A-side label includes the misspelling of Schoolly-D as "Scholly-D" and catalog number "SD112," and lacks the warning, "The Recording Contains Explicit Language" found on other releases. Run-out grooves and LP labels match points for first pressings. Housed in a plain white sleeve as issued, with manuscript ink annotations from a previous owner on the recto and verso, apparently a DJ named "Mix Master Victor C," tagging the sleeve with "(Schoolly-D) P.S.K. / Gucci / R.C.M.P. / 'Mix Master' / 'Vic C' / 1#" on the recto, and " "(Schooly-D) P.S.K / Gucci / 1# / V.C.M.P / 'Mix Master' / 'Vic. C" on the verso, and "P.S.K. Victor Comea C.M.P. PSK Gucci" at the top inside edge of the sleeve opening. On the vinyl's labels are manuscript marker annotations "MixMaster / Victor CMP / Victor. C" on the recto and "Mix… Read More

Description:
Champaign, IL: Gate 5 Records, 1956. First and only pressing. Issue No. 6 in Harry Partch's self-released Gate 5 series, sold by mail order. INSCRIBED by Partch in 1960 to noted film scholar Amos Vogel on the rear flap: "For Amos Vogel / With all best wishes / Harry Partch / Feb 11 '60." A conceptual 10-inch EP, putting a road trip into the context of experimental music. The tracks read, in order, "San Francisco to Sparks," "Sparks to Moleen," "Moleen to Rock Springs," etc., ending with "North Platte to Chicago." Partch, who died in 1974, rarely signed his records, and associations are nearly non-existent. With Partch's red rubber address stamp on the rear panel as called for. EP record enclosed in textured card stock, with a flap at the rear. Near Fine.

Description:
San Francisco: Tram Records T-5001, 1969. First Edition. First Edition. 33-1/3 RPM vinyl LP in original inner and outer sleeve. Cover design by Richard Frey. A collection of stage musical favorites sung by Colt, written by greats such as Leonard Berstein, Stephen Sondheim, Billy Strayhorn, Rodgers and Hart, Cole Porter, and Ira and George Gershwin. Oddities in the selections include three songs by Zebedy Colt under his given name Edward Earle (he was born Edward Earle Marsh), and two songs that had a rough road to success: "Bill" by P.G. Wodehouse and Jerome Kern, and "The Man I Love" by the Gershwins. With brief liner notes on the rear panel by Colt. Though uncredited, the orchestra for the recording was the London Philharmonic. The LP was released simultaneously in the UK under the title "I'll Sing for You." Colt was an actor-director who performed on Broadway and the Royal Shakespeare Company under the name Edward Earle and had another career as a gay pornstar and prolific director of both… Read More
