Rydal, PA: H.R.B. Inc.. [1965].. 45rpm record in photo-illustrated jacket.. A bizarre Doo-Wop novelty record by The Smiley Brothers about brushing your teeth! The other side features "Club Marching Song" by the St. Rose of Lima Children's Choir that continues with the clean-teeth theme. Cover states "Do the Brush 'March Along' with Dr. Shiny Teeth" and features a terrific photograph of young teens, toothbrushes held aloft while dancing the twist. Produced by noted pop producer Bob Finiz. Excellent record in very good jacket with partial split to right edge. This record is quite scarce, especially in the jacket.

NY: The Bitter End/The Tin Angel, ca. 1965.. The two night spots were doing some cross promotion---one side of the card is for The Bitter End and at the bottom it reads: "Before the show, enjoy dinner at (see other side)." The other side of the card is for The Tin Angel and it states: "After dinner, see the show at (see other side)." The Bitter End was (and still is) one of the most famous music and entertainment venues in Greenwich Village, The Tin Angel restaurant was next door. There is a typed name at the bottom of The Bitter End side so perhaps this was issued as a complimentary pass. Very good. Scarce.

The Trips Festval event took place at the Portland Armory on May 14, 1967. Designed by "Air Sign Co." which was primarily Paul Bassett with occasional help from Gina Papen. Printed in blue and yellow featuring an illustration of a biplane. Some shadows of tape residue to verso only, a couple of small spots of which are visible from the front, else fine (5.5" x 8.5"). Very scarce.

Odetta, Tom Paxton, John Sebastian, Ram Dass, Bob Gibson and others were scheduled to play, with Wavy Gravy acting as MC. Features an illustration of eyeballs playing musical instruments. Fine.

The Bitter End was one of the primary music clubs and entertainment venues in Greenwich Village during the '60s. During it's heyday it featured a wide selection of musicians and comedians ranging from Lenny Bruce, Dick Cavett, and Woody Allen to Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Neil Young, James Taylor, and Bruce Springsteen, among many others. Albums by Bill Cosby, Curtis Mayfield, Peter, Paul and Mary, Pete Seeger, and The Isley Brothers, among others, were recorded there. Some toning, staining, and creasing, but still thoroughly decent.

NY: Roaring Fork Press, 1966.. Photo-illustrated folder containing three groups of stapled sheets printing essays about the rock music scene. First edition. Each group of sheets is 4 pages and includes reproductions of concert handbills, photos, and clippings. Included is: "The View from the Dance Floor" by Bob Chamberlain, "From the Critic's Desk" by Robert Shelton, and "From the Bandstand" by Lou Reed. Originally issued as part of Aspen No. 3 but here offered separately (does not include the flexi-disc). Folder very good plus, contents fine.

[NY: Scholastic Magazines, 1966].. First edition of this digest-size Paperback Original. Preface by famed DJ Murray the K. Articles "In Defense of Bob Dylan," "Elvis Ten Million Dollars Later," and much more. Some photographs. Inside of covers toned, pages lesser so, solid very good.

Hollywood: A&M Records, 1978.. Poster poses the question: "Are We Not Men?" Answer: "Who Cares." Printed in many colors featuring a striking photo-collage of a sunglass-wearing, spiky-haired punk rocker surfing on an ironing board against a leopard print background. The poster advertises bands such as The Police, The Dickies, Joe Jackson, The Stranglers, U.K. Squeeze, and others. A very early item for The Police who had formed just a year earlier. A&M was an early mainstream label to capitalize on the then current new wave and punk scenes. Very fine (24" x 12").

[LA]: Privately published by the author, 1969].. 8vo. Single sheet of textured yellow paper printed in green ink, folded to make a 4-page leaflet. First edition. Morrison's poetic tribute to Brian Jones of The Rolling Stones who had just recently died under mysterious circumstances. This is the third of Morrison's four privately published works following The Lords: Notes on Vision and The New Creatures, also published the same year. Issued to be distributed as a free giveaway to attendees of two concerts by The Doors at the Aquarius Theatre in Hollywood on July 21, 1969. Reportedly the floor of the venue was strewn with discarded copies thus accounting for its rarity. We've handled this only once before in 35 years and OCLC turns up just one copy at Yale. Faint, soft vertical crease, else bright and very nice.
