Published by General Foods, Tarrytown NY in 1949. The folding pamphlet features Frances Barton- (General Foods answer to General Mills icon Betty Crocker). The pamphlet contains fourteen recipes using "pre-cooked" rice. Later on they changed the name to "Instant" rice. Recipes for Seafood Skillet, Savory Rice and Gravy, Marmalade Rice, Rice and Beef Hash and many more.

This vintage advertising cookbook is in about good condition with edge waer and rust stains form the old staples , some soiling to the text , with a few marks from a previous owner. The text block hsa seperated from the covers. The booklet could be re- stabled without a problem. This is a good filler copy . A 3 and 1/2 by 6 and 1/2 inch. 28 page booklet. Published by Spry, Cambridge MA 1940. The folding pamphlet includes recipes for cakes, pies, doughnuts, cookies,and much more. Spry is vegetable shortening. Aunt Jenny was Spry's answer to General Mills iconic Betty Crocker. BUT at least Aunt Jenny was portrayed by an actual person. Edith Spencer has a long lived radio show called Aunt Jenny's Real Life Stories The pamphlet features advertising for the radio show as well as a 52 page cookbook.
