The head/tail of the spine is bumped, a small surface rub, with loss, to the bottom edge of the rear cover, and there is some VERY SLIGHT fading to the base colour at the edges. No dustjacket, presumed as issued. There are No Inscriptions, but there is a stamp to the blank reverse of the front free endpaper = 'Dyfed County Library', which itself is overstamped with an oval 'Cardiganshire C P School' stamp. Also on the bottom front corner of the pictorial front pastedown (endpaper) there was a library pocket which has been torn off leaving some brown paper and some surface loss at that point o/w NO other Ex-Library markings and it is overall a VG copy. Staples are rusty, and some light 'rubbing' to the spine. Otherwise this is old shop stock that was never sold and is in Excellent condition apart from the staples and two staple 'marks' on the rear cover from another book. NO date but most of the books I had from this 'buy' were from the 1920s/1940s. The covers are printed in bold primary colours, and the inside is illustrated in b/w and the same primary colours (as on the covers) on alternate pages. 15 pages including the inside of the covers. Delightful! At the time of listing I also have 2 others in the same series - 'Piggykin went to Market' and 'Puppykin' by the same artist - Sinclair. See images. ; 24mo 5" - 6" tall .

Full colour, shiny, red-based, pictorial, paper-covered board to the front cover, with a red cloth spine (somewhat faded red). The front cover pictures a golliwog popping out of a 'jack-in-a- box' and a startled Bonzo. The rear cover is plain 'buff' (or grey) boards with the 'added decoration' by a child of some 'Kay' stamps down the top inner rear edge. The edges and corners of the paper-covered boards have been rubbed and a previous owner has coloured the points of the paper/edges where rubbed/scuffed, to match. In the original publisher's pictorial dustjacket. The boards are generally very clean and tight. The dustjacket is Not price clipped, and is complete, but has some slight chipping and a few 'closed' tears to the edges/corners, etc. The whole jacket is lightly grubby and discoloured, with some light marks/stains here and there, but the d/j is now in a new protective clear - removable - bookfilm plastic cover and looks Near VG. Manchester: 'Our Dogs' Publishing Co. Ltd. ,. Good with no dust jacket. 1927. Presumed 1st Edition. Paperback. Two large format ORIGINAL VINTAGE DOG Journal'/Magazines measuring 14" x 10". Masking taped together. In the original publishers' pictorial paper covers. An illustration of (Salukis) centre front on the May 13th cover, and a Fox Terrier on May 20th cover . The spine has been covered, quite neatly, with light masking tape, and there are a few edge chips/tears to the covers and in the text, from nearly 100 years of storage! - the masking tape is a NEAR match to the white/cream base colour of the covers, and is printed/illustrated in black. There are b/w photos on the reverse of the front cover of Dog Shows/Exhibits, with Persons, etc. The body of the text is printed on cheaper, more friable, paper that is now uniformly lightly browned.
