A nice copy of the first edition of both works. There are 4 later editions, the last in 1805. The author, "ancien chirurgien-major de la Marine" was a great advocate of catheterisation. According to a contemporary review, the work on urology has some interesting point of views, but written in a horible style. Published in 2000 by Aventis Pharma.

The genuine first edition in book form, very rare. Part I: Maladies relatives a la sécrétion des urines, Part II: Maladies relatives a l'excrétion des urines. Desault was a great French surgeon, who with his friend Chopard founded urological surgery. He also was one of the first to have a clear understanding of urological diseases.
