Published in cardstock stapled wrappers by the Cooperative Extension Service of the University of Maine, Orono, circa 1974 (date supplied by University of Maine Library URSUS search), as Bulletin 501, Revised. Oblong booklet measuring 9 by 6 inches, pp. 13. Illustrations. Just a bit of creasing from previous handling, but GOOD and sound condition and ensconced now in a clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board. This venerable instructional pamphlet is eager to help someone develop the ideal seasonal "side hustle," perhaps.

Publisher's stapled illustrated wrappers, octavo (6 3/4 by 9 1/2 inches), pp. [16]. Fancy gold braided, cord-tied advertising booklet from Dixon Valve and Coupling Company, Philadelphia, no date, circa mid-20th century. Just light wear, as from age and careful handling, and light creasing near bottom page tips (see Photo 5). Withal, GOOD+ condition. Ensconced now in a clear protective Ultra-Pro sleeve.

Western Union Holiday Greeting Telegram from Spokane Washington to Dorchester Massachusetts, dated December 24, 1932, and reading: "TELL BUDDY IT WAS DELIGHTFUL VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL JOE." Measures 8 x 6 1/2 inches. Fragile paper with a few nicks at fold points and on perimeter. Safely stowed now in a clear new Ultra Pro display sleeve.

String-bound tall octavo, pp. 19 + [1]. Some pages unopened at top edge. Translation of a 17th century letter from Peter Paul Rubens to eminent Antwerp humanist Jan Caspar Gevaerts describing Rubens' second visit to Madrid in 1628-1629. "Rubens had gone on a secret mission to the Spanish court as special envoy of the Infanta Isabella, Governor of the Spanish Netherlands." Front cover features an engraving of Jan Caspar Gevaerts by Paulus Pontius after Rubens. Moderate wear, as with age and handling, but still GOOD and sound and ensconced now in a clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board.

Christmas season advertising promotional from F. J. Reardon Company of Charlestown Mass., circa mid-20th century, bound in red felt wrappers with a braided, tasseled, gold cord. Booklet measures 5.5 x 8.5 inches, pp. [36]. illustrated with a glassine-guarded color frontispiece and then black and white art-work throughout. A splotch on the Denmark page (see Photo 5), and the felt and cord have become a bit dull in appearance over the decades. A few nicks on wrapper edges. Withal, GOOD condition and ensconced now by us in a clear protective display sleeve with white cardstock backing board.

Publisher's textured stapled red wrappers. Edition limited to 400 copies finished in time for Christmas distribution in 1953, small quarto, pp. 11. Laid in is a sheet entitled "Important Note about lines on pages 7 and 8" with a verso manuscript note: "This caused the delay! [The 1809 visit is for sale] E. W. J." Colophon note states that the copper etchings are by C M & H; all from originals excepting on title page which is from a redrawing of a wood block by Myron King, circa 1830. Engravings on pages 9 and 10 are complete and in actual size; on pages 7 and 11, reduced and shown in part. Errata note on page [12]. Colophon/limitation statement page [13]. The increasingly fragile wrappers are a little weary with age and have a chip missing from top edge at spine (see photo 2 for close-up). Chipping continues onto the title page but with no loss there yet. Bottom page tips are bumped. Ensconced now in a clear protective display sleeve with white card stock backing board.

Publisher's glossy color-illustrated boards, 12mo, pp. 119, [1]. Peanuts Christmas season cartoons celebrating the fiftieth anniversary of the strip, selected from the 1950s to the 1990s.

Edition limited to 375 copies privately printed for friends of the Torch Press at Christmas, 1933, small octavo, pp. 38 [1]. Maroon wrappers with upper wrap paper title label. Just light shelf and handling wear on spine. Ensconced now in a clear protective Ultra-Pro sleeve.

Introduction by J. Christian Bay. Edition limited to 400 copies, small octavo, pp. 32; black and white portrait frontispiece of the author; VERY GOOD in the publisher's maroon cloth over decorative boards with paper spine label; glassine dust wrapper toned and just a few nicks, as with time and careful handling, but near very good.

Edition limited to 100 numbered copies, of which this is number 50, octavo, pp. 28. Warm inscription from the author to previous owners on free front endpaper. Just light shelf and handling wear. Spine lightly sunned. Withal, Very Good in the publisher's textured red string-tied wrappers. A scarce title, both in trade and institutional holdings, with OCLC locating three copies only in April 2020: (1) SUNY Buffalo, and (2), (3) Hamilton College (i.e. 2 copies at Hamilton, author's alma mater).

Protected in a clear display sleeve with white card-stock backing board. A scarce item, both in trade and institutional holdings, with a 2023 OCLC search returning Library of Congress, Amherst, and Bates College only.

Two Christmas Season Greeting cards for a Gone With the Wind newsletter subscriber in Georgia, circa 1990's. First card from the Gone With the Wind Collector's Newsletter of Dublin, Georgia. Envelope measures 4 1/2 inches in height x 5 3/4 inches width. Card bears a photo of Margaret Mitchell in her Red Cross uniform posing with a doll sent to her by the Japanese publisher of Gone With the Wind. Second card is from The Scarlett Letter of Richmond, Virginia. Envelope measures 4 3/4 inches in height x 6 1/2 inches in width. The card bears a photo of a tiny movie house showing Gone With the Wind in 1943 Blanco, Texas.

Edition limited to 190 numbered copies, of which this is number 8, octavo, pp. [8]. INSCRIBED by printer John Haydock on the limitation page. Just light shelf and handling wear. Very good in the publisher's stapled tan wrappers and a nice low number in the limitation sequence.
