Description:
Publisher's textured green card-stock wrappers, octavo, pp. 146. We've graded this copy POOR because the publisher's binding glue has dried out completely over the decades and the leaves are beginning to pull away from the binding (see our photo number 4). Additionally, spine is worn and eroding at crown and at foot. A tear at the foot has been mended with a piece of tape. Previous owner has made several marginal notations.

Description:
From the personal library of Tennessee Newspaper Hall of Fame columnist Bert Vincent with his bookplate on the front pastedown. Publisher's yellow cloth over beige boards with black spine and upper board lettering, fourth printing, measures approximately 9 x 6 inches, pp. xvi, 330. Illustrated with retail-themed vignettes. GOOD and sound with some shelf and handling wear, foxing, and marginal spotting. A 1954 newspaper column by Bert Vincent was taped into the last page of the book but tape succumbed to age and column is now simply laid in. Price-clipped dust jacket is FAIR-only, quite weary from a pre-mylar life with chips, abrasions, and short tears at spine ends, flap fold points, and along perimeter. At some judicious point, jacket was protected from further wear by a sheet of Brodart.
