This is a very nice catalog, handsomely bound and printed on high quality paper with illustrations, some color, on nearly every page. 10 1/2" X 7 7/8" in silver-blue leather-like material with nifty paper paste-down on front cover showing a factory with billowing smoke coming from a chimney. This is a quality production with nice binding, well-done illustrations, not just of the products themselves, but sometimes incorporating people using them. 10 1/2" X 7 7/8" in heavy paper covers with circular paste-down on front showing a thermometer. The catalog advertises Pyrometers and related paraphernalia, including early recording devices for these instruments. This catalog is a beautiful production in a quality binding and printed on high quality paper with numerous color illustrations. This is not merely a list of items with prices and pictures. There is considerable explanatory text and pictures showing people at work in situations where the product would be used. 10 1/2" X 7 7/8" bound in leather-like material with cover design. Punched for 2 hole binding. This book has been exposed to water along the fore edge MARGIN. Pages had been stuck together, and there is some damage along fore edge where they were separated. The Brown Instrument Company, Philadelphia, PA, 1927. This is an 80 year old catalog by Brown Instrument Comapany in Philadelphia. Brown manufactured a variety of instruments for various industries. This catalog has a handsome binding and cover design including a very worried-looking gentleman consulting a graph. The catalog was printed on quality paper and utilized excellent illustrations, some including men using the products in a plant setting. This catalog has been exposed to water. The first & Last pages show evidence of this around the edges where it was in contact with the cover. There are VERY LIGHT water stains along the fore edge MARGINS of the other pages There is a rust stain from a paper clip at the bottom edges of 3-4 other pages. Caloric Gas Stove Works, Phila. PA, 1936. 11 1/8" X 8 3/4" in heavy blue paper covers. Large "#1" on front cover, old price inside. Several pp stuck together along lower fore edge margin due to water exposure. Overall, GOOD- to GOOD. This catalog is 15pp long printed on one side of the page only. The first page shows the 3 plants which made the Caloric products. After that are pictured various types of antique gas ranges. Some pictures are in color, and some are black and white. There is also a 13pp section on furnaces. Laid in are 5 additional pp showing parlor stoves. 3 of the pp are identical. Also laid in is a 1936 price list. In the rear pocket of the catalog are 12 9" X 4.5" sheets with picture and specs on other stoves. G+ condition. 136pp of (now antique) kitchen stoves + some parts. These are the old coal stoves that were once in virtually every every kitchen in America. They were manufactured in an amazing variety by the Scranton Stove Works, and their pictures and specs are to be found here. In addition, laid in are Price list #4 dated January 15, 1925, a 2 page typed revision of prices, a 4pp brochure for Dockash heating stoves, and a letter on nifty company stationery replying to an inquiry.. 1st Edition. This is one of those wonderful early 20th century trade catalogs filled with great - now antique - merchandise. As is often the case, the covers are soiled and not very attractive, but the contents are just great. 703pp of terrific illustrations of all sorts of tools and plumbing supplies and fixtures. There is everything from glassware - some really unusual stuff, too - to microscopes, stills, animal cages, beakers, retorts, even safes and photo equipment.
