George Barrie, Philadelphia: 1889-1895., 1895 Issued in twelve original parts, housed in eleven very large publisher's portfolios. 400 x 515 mm. (about 16" x 20"). Printed on Japan vellum throughout. Illustrated with wonderful monochrome photogravure engravings and plates. There are no color plates in this set, nor do any seem called for. The original paper wrappers for the parts are brittle, but this is of little concern because the portfolios act as wraps. There is some soiling and wear, here and there, but generally this is a very nice set of the most deluxe edition. Number 225 of a total edition limited to only 500 copies. Howes W79.
