LoNDON: John Marshall, 1786. 2 original and rare plate booklets each with 32 plates. 10.5 cms. Both printed title-pages are present. Part one undated; part two dated 1788 . NO accompanying text book present. 64 plates all present. Original publishers sewn plain wrapppers with hand-written titles to the front covers. Each plate has a tiny separate numbering system to the lower bottom left hand corner starting with 1 and ending with 64. Each plate also has a large roman number to the centre top of the page and some plates have a third system with '2nd Part. Anct. History Pl 1' etc. Noce dark impresson with some wear to the outer edges but no loss on markings. JOHN MARSHALL 1783-1828 [printer]. These two small print books are very scarce. A later re-issue by John Harris appeared in 1811. The first volume with 7 titles each has Assyrian, Persian, Grecian and Roman and the second volume 32 plates untitled. 1st edition. paper wrappers. V.g.. 16mo.
