Description:
New York: Centaur Books, 1980. First Centaur Books edition. Soft Cover. Good +. On the 1/2 title page is the following "...written with the care and concepts...of a Lovecraft...the record of weird events and monstrous worship from colonial times to the present...events which culminate in strikingly vivid action and great horror." From the back cover : "...just as formidable as was your first encounter with Poe, Machen, Robert Chambers, or H P Lovecroft." Terrific black & white illustrations by Randy Broecker. Book is in good condition with moderate edge wear, bumped spine ends and soft corners. There is a remainder mark on the upper page block and some surface scuffing to the back cover which has a mild crease and light sepia-colored soiling, perhaps age -related, for this same sepia-coloring runs faintly down the spine. There is a name written on the back fly leaf.
