367 pages. A collection of 64 interviews conducted with people in various parts of China, in various walks of life. Interviews took place in the early 1980s, so are reflecting of a China as it was almost 40 years ago. Today's China is much more capitalistic, while still under a firm totalitarian grip.

Book shows very little wear. Dust jacket has some water staining at both the top and bottom margins, as shown in photo #7. This does not seem to have had a significant impact on the book itself. 256 pages. As this book will ship at nearly three pounds, a small shipping surcharge has been added to the price.

First volume. Not sure how many others there may have been. Cover is maroon fabric covered boards, with a bit of wear-through at a couple of the corners and at the tail of the spine. Embossed title and author on the front cover with gilt print and decoration over the spine. Front and spine have a hand-inked one, indicating the volume. Contains over 1,500 photographs and 27 color plates. No date is provided within the book, but in perusing the text and photo captions, it appears that the latest information is from 1930, so I imagine publication followed shortly thereafter. A rare book. This book will ship at almost four pounds. Excess shipping costs are included in the list price.

Trade paperback. Some wear to the cover, pages are in good shape. A fair amount of yellow highlighting throughout. A textbook of introductory archaeology, covering the history of man from the origins to the beginnings of literate civilization. (Not sure how they deal with the fact that "literate civilization" arrived at different times in different parts of the world.) 417 pages, with a fair amount of illustrations.

Three autobiographical accounts from former slaves in the American South. Cover shows some minor wear, but nothing excessive. 409 pages, clean, intact, unmarked. Trade paperback. Get it now before some republican legislature bans it for making some people feel "uncomfortable".
