Description:
Blue cloth cover is coming loose from the binding, front and back, but not completely detached. Peeling off the lower corner of the spine as well, as shown in photo #1. Pages are clean and tight, with no sign of notes or underlining. Owner's name on each of the first four pages. That owner was Gertrude Pritchard, apparently a schoolteacher in England early in the twentieth century. I acquired a number of her books from an estate sale in Seattle recently, and have gathered them in a catalogue entitled "Pritchard Library".

Description:
No dust jacket. Generally in good condition, however the fabric of the front cover has bubbled up in a few places on the front cover, perhaps from some moisture. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked. This is part of a collection of books I recently acquired that used to belong to one Gertrude Pritchard of England in the early 20th century. Her name can be found inside the front cover and in a couple other places before the title page. I have gathered all these books into a catalogue called "Pritchard Library".

Description:
Part of a series called Elementary Classics. Book is worn, with the fabric faded on the spine, and worn through at most edges and corners. Pages are fairly tight and intact. The Introduction, Index and Notes are in English, while the actual essay is in Latin. Written by Cicero in 44 BC. The original owner's name can be found in about three places. That owner was Gertrude Pritchard, a schoolteacher in England at the beginning of the 20th century. I recently acquired a number of her books at an estate sale in Seattle. You can view all of her titles in the catalogue "Pritchard Library".

Description:
Green cloth cover, no dust jacket. Pages clean, tight and unmarked. Contains introduction, the play, notes and five appendices. Recently, an estate sale yielded a number of books originally owned by a woman in England during the first two decades of the 20th century. All are marked with the name of Gertrude (or G.) Pritchard. I have included all of these books in the Pritchard Library catalogue. I will be adding more to this catalogue entry as I find them. For 113 years old, this book is in great condition.

Embossed red cloth cover. Not a lot of wear for its age. Pages are clean, tight and unmarked. Four fold-out maps are intact, still bright (see two examples in photos #4 and 5). The original owner's name is inside the front cover. That owner, Gertrude Pritchard, appears to have been a schoolteacher in England in the early 20th century. I recently acquired a number of her books from an estate sale in Seattle. I have gathered those books into my "Pritchard Library" catalogue.

Description:
Little wear to the cover other than the soiling of over a century. One small hole in the fabric on the spine, where there also is a little fading of the red cloth. Edges and corners are in good shape, with intact fabric. Internally, the pages are clean and unmarked and mostly tightly bound. One small binding blemish occurs at pages 2-3, as shown in photo #4. Nothing is in danger of falling out. There is no date in the book, but the former owner, Gertrude Pritchard, very helpfully dated it when she added her name inside the front cover. Therefore, this book was published at some point prior to 1906. Other books from Gertrude can be found in my "Pritchard Library" catalogue. I have volume two as well, but there was no sign of the first volume.

Description:
Other than the soil of more than a century, this book shows little wear. Red cloth cover is not worn through at any point, and the corners and edges look pretty good. Pages are tight and unmarked, although there is a small stain that runs through the bottom edge of the first 20 pages or so. No impact on reading. There is no date in the book, but the former owner, Gertrude Pritchard, helpfully dated it when she put her name inside the from cover. This is the second of three volumes. I have listed volume three as well, but there was no sign of volume one. You can see all of the books I acquired from Gertrude's library under the "Pritchard Library" catalogue.

Description:
This compact little book has lost its cover. As shown in the photos, the half-title page has also come loose. All other pages are still attached. Owner's name is on the half-title pages and the remaining pages appear clean, intact and unmarked. This is one of a number of books that belonged to Miss Gertrude Pritchard back at the beginning of the 20th century. She appears to have been a teacher at an English boarding school for boys. Somehow, over the intervening century, her library came to be in an estate sale in Seattle. Now they can be found in my catalogue called "Pritchard Library".

Shows some wear, not bad for its age. Pages are tight and intact. Owner's name inside front cover and some scattered margin notes throughout. In a recent acquisition at an estate sale, I came into possession of a number of books once belonging to a Miss Gertrude Pritchard of London, in the early 20th century. How they came to be in an estate sale in Seattle a little over 100 years later is a mystery I cannot solve. I have gathered all of these books into a catalogue called "Pritchard Library".

This book shows some wear at corners and edges. Owner's name and information in a couple places, as well as a few check marks at the table of contents. The "Specimens" are excerpts from many works of both nonfiction and fiction. This turn of the century book is one of a number I recently acquired with the name Gertrude (or G.) Pritchard, of England, very nicely written. They are dated during the first two decades of the 20th century. I have gathered all of these books under the Pritchard Library catalogue, and will continue adding to that catalogue as I get the books listed.
