Pages are solidly attached to the binding and only a few have folded corners, but there is some discoloration. An eminently readable copy, but no beauty.

Very little wear. Small sticker on the lower left corner of the front cover. Pages clean and tight, no spine creases. Includes The Cask of Amontillado, Hop-Frog, MS. Found in a Bottle, Ligeia, The Fall of the House of Usher, William Wilson, The Masque of the Red Death, and The Imp of the Perverse.

Oh, the things one learns when listing a book. This is the fifth book in the Dollanganger Family series, out of eleven, of which most were not written by V. C. Andrews after all. Virginia Andrews died in 1986, making this one, published in 1987, perhaps the last one she worked on. The other six, published between 2014 and 2020, were written by Andrew Neiderman, as were any other V. C. Andrews books published after 1987. Anyway, this book has been well used and has its share of wear, plus a nice coffee stain (see the last two photos), which impacts from page 315 to the back cover. It doesn't pose any difficulty for reading the pages, but it just doesn't look nice. The price is the lowest I can go without losing money.

Generally in good shape. Back cover has some minor staining, a few creases at the spine and chips around the edges. Pages slightly yellowed, but clean, tight and intact. Perhaps Herzog's best known novel, was made into a movie.
