Title page has printed "Edited By His Wife" underneath some wrote "Elizabeth L. Smith" A couple of tiny holes on the title page where it appears something was erased. A couple of spots of brown stain on the page edges (these do not go onto the pages). I saw one page with very faded pencil print on the margin. Pages are tight and appear to be clean/unmarked except as noted. Top corners on some pages are bumped/lightly creased. 482+ pages. I think I'm making this book sound in much worse shape than it really it. For a book from 1881, it probably is close to Fine condition. . Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
