Back inside flap is a list of books by Louisa M. Alcott. DJ has missing piece at top spine area. Tearing and wrinkling to top of DJ both front and back edges. A bit of wrinkling and chipping at bottom of spine of DJ. Majority of DJ is intact and in Good or better condition. I can't find any date as to when this book was published.

This copy is in poor to fair condition only. The cover has wear--bumped edges; dirty; fading; chipping at edges of spine and corners. Water stain which is more noticable at beginning of book, much less so at back. This primarily affects the inside top corners (closet to binding). Frontispiece still in book, but attached only by the fronting piece of tissue which is attached in four small areas to the title page. Front endpapers separating from each other at spine. Gift inscription on backside of frontispiece. Cover loose, but still attached, to pages. Certainly not a great copy, but probably better than just a reading copy. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall

Discoloration to front corners that could be from moisture, though I don't see any other evidence of moisture to the book. Brown endpapers. Price in pencil on ffep. PO's name on title page. Pages tight but book will open. Pages appear unmarked, but with a smattering of foxing and finger prints. Tex is 127 pages with Notes at 132 pages. The text is in a foreign language, which I am going to assume is Greek, though it might be Latin. I'll be happy to send a picture of a page for you to figure out, if need be. original copyright date is 1878, so this is a reprint with revisions. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall
