Village Lights Bookstore opened as a brick-and-mortar shop in 2008. We are a quintessential "mom & pop" business, locally owned and independent, and we live above the shop. We are members of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America, the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers, the American Booksellers Association, and the Great Lakes Independent Booksellers Association, and offer a carefully curated in-store selection of new and used books. The quality of our online service is as important to us as that in our open storefront. We offer a modest, but diverse, selection of rare, collectible, and antiquarian items. We carefully grade our books in accordance with IOBA Book Condition Definitions (https://www.ioba.org/conditions-definitions), describe them using standard ABAA terminology (https://www.abaa.org/glossary), and painstakingly package them to prevent damage in transit.
