Yes, the stories are [the best] in a 1950s kind of way. They are also cartoon-like, with overblown characters. Please ignore these two liabilities, and sit back and enjoy some great engineering stories.

These people do a good job of explaining difficult material. Twenty years ago I sat in a metal hut and took microwave classes from one of the authors. When they last twenty years, there is a reason.
