Nice, large format chromolithographed plate from Blackie's "The Comprehensive Atlas and Geography of the World" (1886). These particular plates are one of the points that makes this atlas so attractive and desirable. I salvaged these prints and maps from a broken and incomplete atlas, going against my normal policy of refusing to remove artwork from books. In this case, the book was beyond reasonable help, in my opinion. Details of the illustration are: Natives of Hanover, Village Magistrate, Brunswick, Natives of Pomerania Neighbourhood of Pyritz. Condition: Very Good, with some light smudges to the paper and overall some minor wear to edges. Small tear to right paper edge. Mild stain to paper in upper left margin.
