Lightly browned with minor staining and light offsetting, creased from old folds, small amounts of remnants from elsewhere to central fold of reverse, otherwise fairly bright. Appears to be an anti-Catholic satire appearing in the format of an advertisement for a panorama, aimed at Pusey and others associated with the Oxford Movement, Exeter is mentioned three times, so possibly published there? [10], 580pp. Contemporary full morocco, raised bands, spine in six panels, each panel with central gilt seed head lozenge tool, roundels and volute corner pieces, covers with gilt double fillet border, enclosing a double panel design, the outer panel a single fillet with fleuron corner pieces and a pyramid volute tool to the middle of each side, the inner panel composed of a triple fillet with flower head corner pieces, the two panels joined by mitres, gilt roll to edges and inner edges, a.e.g., combed marbled endpapers. Slightly rubbed to extremities, corners bumped and worn. Internally frontispiece and title browned, lightly browned throughout, previous owners name to reverse of frontispiece. Lincoln: T.O. Brumby [Printer] Single sided printed broadside, approximately 205mm x 335mm in size, n.d. c.1850? A couple of small closed tears to head, lightly creased from old folds, lightly browned, otherwise clean. The printer was T.[homas] O.[xley] Brumby, of 1 Butcher Street, Lincoln (fl. 1841-1861), he was also a bookseller, stationer and bookbinder according to the BBTI. Appears to be an argument for the baptism of (clothed) infants, with a sprinkling of water rather than full immersion. First Edition. Unbound. Good. Folio. Broadside.

The front seats around the gallery of the City Road Chapel were "reserved for Ministers who are Members of the Society, and who will be admitted to them by Tickets, for which they are requested to apply at the Mission-House, Austin Friars, on the preceding Tuesday and Wednesday", (Missionary Chronicle of the London Missionary Society, 1829), this presumably being one of those tickets, though issued for the year rather than the week.
