Signed/inscribed by Darwin Kingsley on upper margin of title page. Contains Kingsley's speeches on different topics - Democracy, life insurance, golf, freedom, etc. Darwin P. Kingsley was president of the New York Life Insurance Company in the early part of the 20th century. He was known, among other things, for inventing and implementing new types of insurance. An interesting fact of these times was that civil rights leader Susan B. Anthony was one of their first female policy holders.
