The author studied reaction speed of firemen, invented a device for squirting chlorine gas into enemy trenches (WWI), took out patent in 1915 of an armored car and even an airship. Includes his travels in Tibet where he made obviously false climbing claim to have set in 1899 a new high altitude record of 23490' by making the 1st ascent of "Lumpa" Pk near Mt Api. His other experiences in Tibet have been dismissed as false by many, yet Herbert Tichy was able to confirm much of Landor's descriptions.
