Light toning to the spine and a few mild age related markings to the boards. Mild toning and spotting to the text-block with a little spotting to the page edges in a few places. Light spotting to the prelims. Two small neat penned previous owner's details to the front blank end-paper. A small area of staining to the rear lower hinge. The fragile WRAPPER is complete and is in Very Good++ condition. Mild toning to the spine and folds. A little light edge-wear at the spine ends with a few small closed tears. Loosely inserted is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) promoting the original West End production of these plays at the Theatre Royal Haymarket in London. (Following a Provincial Tour, 'Present Laughter' opened April 29th, 1943 and 'This Happy Breed' opened April 30th, 1943. Both productions played just over five months at the Haymarket Theatre).
