This is an expanded version of the 1867 first edition with added illustrations and 28 maps along with addenda. The work is illustrated with many photographic plates and numerous area maps. The volume shows light external age/wear, and is solidly bound with clean pages. Occasional pencil marking. The book measures approximately 6 1/2" x 9 1/2". There is a scrape to edge of last 50 leaves to a width and depth of 1/64". .
