Binding of first vol. is slightly worn; else fine. With numerous plates, text illustrations, and ornaments, the latter usually commissioned especially for the issue, all relating to the visual arts of the book (typographic and illustrative).

Bound by EMILE ROUSSELLE: full brown morocco with spine panelled, author, title, and date in gilt on spine, elaborate gilt dentelles surrounding silk doublures of pink, yellow, silver, and lavendar birds, green and yellow butterflies, roses in various shades of pink, marbled endpapers, teg, silk ribbon marker, signed on lower front turn-in. Ex-libris on front endpaper, some scuffing to binding and wear to tips and joints, else fine.
