American Pomological Society; Fairbanks, Benedict & Co. Printers. Cleveland, Ohio. 1871. 117, xxvii pages. Hardcover. The maroon covers are in good minus condition. There is significant fading and color loss on the front and back covers. Some cloth and nearly all color is missing from the spine. There is moderate bumping/rolling on top and bottom of spine and corners. The title is in gold on the front cover and still relatively bright. While the spine exterior is poor in appearance, the binding itself is intact. The hinges are a bit loose, but intact. They may have been repaired at one time. The interior of this book is in very good condition. There is no writing or foxing detected. The pages are generally clean and bright. The frontis is a portrait of Marshall P. First Edition, dates on title pages. Both volumes in half bindings with leather spines and corners and green cloth covers. Spine of each includes four raised ribs; a black spine label with title is present only on Volume I. There is some bumping to corners and top of spine on both volumes. Volume II has a small white spot on the front and rear covers. Overall, the covers of both volumes are in very good condition. The binding of volume I is solid. The binding of volume II is intact, although the front cover is beginning to separate on the inside hinge. Bermuda. 1991. 206 pages. The covers are in very good shape, the only blemishes are a small dent and the remains of a sticker in the lower left corner of the back cover. The insides of the front and back covers contain some minor spotting and a location and date are written in ink along the top of the inside back cover. The interior pages are very clean and bright with no writing. The book contains 19 full page color drawings, and many other black and white drawings, maps and data. All color plates, maps and halftone illustrations were completed by the author, a professional wildlife artist.

Appendix H is a final draft of a Management Plan for the Appalachian Trail in Connecticut prepared by the Connecticut Appalachian Trail Management Advisory Committee. The final appendix includes a large, two-sided color map of the Appalachian Trail. The map is approximately 39" x 45" in size and in very good condition (there are 2 small stains on it); the map is folded and contained in a large envelope tipped inside the back cover.
