Description:
Penguin Books, Harmondsworth., 1980. Uncorrected proof of a reissue of a book originally published in 1954. Octavo. pp 171, printed on rectos only. Wrappers. The author has made numerous corrections, mostly of a trivial nature regarding punctuation but in a few places he completely rewrites passages. Loosely inserted is a Typed Letter Signed to Abse asking for corrections. On the back of the letter are Abse's pencilled notes for further corrections. The copyright page gives the publication date as 1980 but in fact this edition didn't appear until 1982.Rear cover creased. Both covers a bit faded at the edges and with small marks. Very good.
