Original signed Ship etching Book Plate Proof of Constnace Crowcock by M B Shak. Signed in the lower right hand corner m b Shak. Measures approximately 11 1/2" x 8 1/2." Looks like a Book Plate proof with pencil notation reduct lower bottom right hand side.

On the back of the ship book plate is the name Miss Anne Luege
with her address , city and state.

A beautiful ship proof.

Lillian Baker Sturges has a professional status as a fiction and non fiction writer and editor. Lillian was born November 19, 1886 in Pennsylvania and passed away in May of1968 at the age of 81 in Pennsylvania. Lillian lived in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania.

She wrote several children's books The Runaway Toys and The Goose Girl

She also wrote a book on hat pins published by Collector Books and a
book entitle Art Nouveau & Art Deco Jewelry, Creative and Collectible
Miniatures and 100 Years of Collectible Jewelry.

Pennsylvania This is an original manuscript of a children's book never published with original art. The cover is in fair condition, lots of edge wear and chips. An original color drawing on the front of the cover, very cute of mice.
The book is dedicated to Cornelia Sturges. No date but probably early 1900's. The title page is printed in color pencils. Most pages are typed.
12 original illustrations in varying sizes in color and black and white. I counted 12 typed pages. Two illustrations are missing. Binding is hole punched and string tied. Some loose pages.

chicago: Beckley-Cardy Company, 1917 Book in good condition, some soil to the covers, bumped corners, newspaper clipping on this teenie weenie book pasted down on the
end paper. Noticed one inch page tear bottom of page 13, clear
taped two inch tear page 105. a few small tears at the spine.
Cute color illustrations.

Chicago: The Reilly & Britton Co. Vintage book, no copyright date. The cover to the spine was loose at
one time and has been taped back on. Binding is solid, 15 color
illustrations. Pages have smudge marks, former owners name at the
top and bottom of the front cover in ink. 7" x 5."

New York: Frederick Stokes, 1936 Very good red cloth boards, bottom corner ding. Nice dust jacket, no
missing pieces, inch tear bottom of the spine. A name and number in
ink on the inside front board. Inside pages clean and unmarked. Overall
a very nice copy with dust jacket, price on the inside flap of lthe dust
jacket 1.00.

Chicago: The Reilley & Lee Co., 1908 Medium blue cloth with a paste down label in very good condition. The this belongs to page has the childs name in pencil. At the very top first page written in ink happy birthday to and from and date of 1928. The first part is Little Black Sambo and the last part is Harriet Beecher Stowe's Topsy. A total of 16 full page color illustrations not including the color illustrations on the title page.

Fading and scuff marks to the cover. Overall decent looking.<p>

A very strange book about a little girl who burns off her head and it is replaced by her parents with a black kettle with features drawn into place and held on by a sunbonnet parents seem to be happy with the results..
