Front free endpaper cleanly torn out. Pages moderately foxed and toned. Textblock opens easily between gatherings with a bit of separation starting at center, but binding is still holding. Small reference notation in pen on back pastedown, else pages unmarked. Memoir of the Royal Navy officer and surveyor, who died during the Battle of Canton in 1857, first published both in the U.S. and U.K. in 1859.
