Gilt-stamped brown cloth with pictorial endpapers. Nearly new condition with a few ink notations scattered among the genealogical charts. Reproduces A Document of the Original Ship Register of the Wendish Colonists who left Lusatia in 1854 to come to Serbin, Texas. Many privately owned letters were used in research. Other members include the Rev. Johann Kilian, Emma Passe, Mina Mickan, Ernest Hempel, John Beiser, Emil Schulze and many others.

For 26 yrs, 1934 and 1938~1962, he maintained the highest (10) goal USPA ranking, something achieved by only 20 American born players! Cecil was one of the six inaugural inductees into The Polo Hall of Fame, Wellington, Fla, in 1990 along with Stewart Iglehart, Devereux Milburn, Harry Payne Whitney, Tommy Hitchcock, & Bob Skene. Born in Llano, Texas in 1905 he is considered the best polo player ever to play this equine sport. Calvert had access to all the information available as Cecil Smith only died in 1999 allowing her to research this biography from his personal memories and those of his family and friends.Rare.
