The boards are worn and the gilt is faded but legible; the book is well-bound and generally clean and tight. The original map and panorama are lacking but a full size, quality facsimile will be provided. Other editions (POD) are available on-line but this is the original second edition of 1847. It appears all pages and fold out maps are present (when compared to a digital copy) The front page and image on verso has the most tape but it is generally confined to the edges.
