Beautiful facsimile reproduction of the late 13th century illuminated manuscript. Text outlines the new legal code established following the reconquest of Spain from years of Moorish dominance. Text was written by the Bishop of Huesca, Vidal de Canellas for King James I of Aragon and Catalonia. Originally written in Latin this manuscript is a translation into the Navarro-Aragonese vernacular language. The original, the only extant copy of this text, is in the J. Paul Getty Museum. (Shipping weight is approximately 7 kilos or 15.5 pounds and extra shipping charge will be necessary).
