The Praeger Film Library put out a number of mid-century titles for movie buffs, including monographs on auteurs like Fritz Lang, Ingmar Bergman, and Robert Bresson, as well as two surveys of character actors by series editor and designer Cameron and his wife, Elisabeth: The Heavies, 'a gallery of cinematic villains' and its female counterpart, Dames, a compendium of shady ladies (known as Broads in the UK, as published by Movie Paperbacks).
