Bound in original brick cloth with titles stamped in gilt, decorations stamped in black. No additional printings. 78 pages plus a two-page publisher's catalogue. Decorated endpapers. Slight separation between pages 64-65, where the page tag comes through into the gutter, but no danger of this pulling loose. Otherwise. just a touch of edgewear, with a gift inscription (Gladelig Jul! til Amalia fra Marie) to the second blank. No other marks or writing. A clean, tight copy. Scarce.

New York: The Curtiss Press / William J. Watt, 1936. Hardcover. Very Good-/No Jacket. Bound in beige moire cloth with titles in black. No additional printings. Light romantic crime novel set mostly in southern California and Arizona, concerning a young couple, thrown together by chance, who find themselves in possession of a half million dollars of stolen money. The result is a chase through the mountains and across the desert, an encounter with a film company on location and a couple of young flyers, a train trip interrupted by a vicious hobo, and an eventual denouement in New York City. One of the author's most difficult titles, rarely seen. This copy has has light edgewear with mild soil from handling, and slight shelf slant. The spine is a bit mottled. Hinges solid. All contents clean tight and unmarked. Oh - did I mention the daddy long-legs squashed on the rear pastedown? How can you resist?

Includes a one page article by Bjornstjerne Bjornson ' Burde vi ikke danne en forening?'. Other articles and full of ads for cruise ships, etc. Cover has King Haakon VII in an oval on the side with slogan 'Alt for Norge'.

Blank endpapers Front flap on dust jacket has synopsis of book, rear flap on Andy Blake's Comet Coaster. Rear of jacket lists Poppy Ott to Freckled Goldfish, Jerry Todd to Pirate and Andy Blake to Comet Coaster. Book is clean and bright, unmarked. Hinges tight. The dust jacket cover is clean and britght. Tiny wear at corners. Chip at head of spine. not removing letteriing. DJ spine darkened. The inside of the jacket shows old tape (see pictures).

Volume 11 in the Jerry Todd series, issued in early 1932, prior to the large number of format changes that G&D put into effect in May of that year. Bert Salg illustrations; 4 glossy full page illustrations including the frontis. Ads in book and on dust jacket list no books later than 1930 ( the date of publication of this book) The dust jacket has darkened spine and wear at extremities. The reverse of the jacket shows old tape vertically along spine, along rear hinge line and along lower edge of jacket. Rear of jacket lists Poppy Ott to Tittering Totem, Jerry Todd to Editor in Grief , Andy Blake to Pot of Gold, and Trigger Berg to Mouse Traps. Ads in the book are the same and shows 'other titles in preparation' as Jerry Todd Caveman, Poppy Ott and Prancing Pancake, and Hits the Trail, Trigger Berg and the Sacred Pig, and Andy Blake Boy Builder. Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad's copy, with a gift inscription to him on the front free endpaper dated 1948 and a gift card laid in. The boards show mild rubbing along the lower edge; the book has just a hint of shelf slant. The dust wrapper, which was cut 1/8" too long, has resultant wear at the top edge with a couple of short tears (1/4"), but no chips. A clean, tight copy with the jacket now in mylar. Copyright January1902 There are 6 duotone glossy plates by artist C.D. Williams. Applique front cover with gilt lettering still bright. Gilt lettering on spine, also still bright. There is a thin line crack between front free endpaper and the next page.

With six illustrations on coated paper by G. W. Picknell, all present. Early printing, with the latest title in the ads at the rear ("Dan Monroe" by W. O. Stoddard) published in 1905 and the heel logo in script. There is a common misconception that the month/year slug on the copyright page was only used for the first editions of L, L & S books, but it has been demonstrated many times that this slug was rarely if ever removed for later printings, and many printings done as late as the 1920s retain this information. L, L & S never indicated reprints so one must use the ads and the cover variations to determine approximate printing dates. This copy has mild edgewear and soil, with light corner and heel bumps. Perfect-bound with a photograph of the Statue of Liberty to the front wrap. Inscribed and signed by the author (on the front wrap) to Dr. (Lars M.) Gimmestad, President of Gale College (Wisconsin, and retired by this time); the front cover verso also carries the bookplate of his son, Herman, also a professor and noted Norwegian-American collector. The book appears to be the author's autobiography, dedicated to her father, Johann Storjohann, on the 100th anniversary of his birth. The wraps show mild rubbing, with a creased spine, but there are no chips or tears. Two short news clippings, in Norwegian, are laid in. A clean, tight copy. Scarce. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall

Applique to the front cover measures 5-1/4" x 4". No additional printings. With six illustrations on coated paper by Arthur O. Scott, with the frontispiece duplicating the applique. No author's box or ads at the rear. The cloth has mild edgewear, with just a touch of fraying at the spine corners; the tips are just rubbed. There is a 1" x 2" blue paint splash near the lower edge of the front cover, partially obscuring the author's name. Former owner's information to the front pastedown and the rear free endpaper; there are four small tape residue marks on the rear pastedown. No other marks or writing. Hinges solid; binding square. This edition is circa 1896 to 1904 Green cover with orange lettering over an open black cabin door. Hinges are tight. Cover show very mild rubbing.There is a pull at top of spine and a 1/4 inch worn spot on the lower edge of front cover.
